The first office was in a small rented unit in Harle Syke, this was out grown very quickly and the company relocated in Burnley, moving in 1995 to Glenfield Park, Nelson. In 2005 having become a sister company to FIS Limited, relocated finally to Moderna Business Park, Mytholmroyd, our present base.
The company now has a stable workforce of experienced mechanical and electrical engineers. It has an up to date computerised network for internal systems, accounts and data storage. It is very proud of its rapid response and quality of service.
It now has full workshop facilities to enable the Engineering Service Division to undertake repairs in house on machinery up to three tons in weight and also for the rebuilding of machinery for resale. To complement this service a wide range of spare parts and consumables are kept in stock such as Shear Pinions and Breaker Plates, Switches and Contactors, Circular and Band Saw Blades and Cutting Fluids, etc.
In 2001 Crescent Machinery fully acquired A Kinghorn & Company, trading as Kinghorn Machinery, one of the foremost manufacturers of Sheet Metal and Fabricating machinery in the UK, founded in 1911. Crescent then changed its main focus of operation to concentrate on Service and Maintenance of all types of Sheet Metal and Fabricating machinery and with our sister company, FIS, all types of machine tools.
