ISGEC is the heavy engineering division of Saraswati Syndicate Limited, a privately owned limited company with a group turnover of over $100 million, they are an ISO9001 registered company. The factory is located about 200 kilometres North East of Delhi in Yamunanagar which is in the state of Haryana, India. ISGEC are India's largest manufacturer of both Mechanical and Hydraulic Presses

Manufacture started in 1968 with a collaboration agreement with John Shaw (Manchester, England), since that time over 1500 Presses have been supplied world-wide. The largest Press that has been supplied was a 2600 Tonne Hydraulic Press for the Indian Ordnance factory in Medak. 

For the last five years in India, ISGEC have had 100% of the market share for Presses over 800 Tonnes. At present ISGEC are working on two tandem lines for Krupp UK supplying in total six Presses from 400 to 1000 Tonnes.

Design work started in the early 1990s on a range of smaller Gap Framed Presses between 25 and 250 Tonnes. This range of Presses is wholly designed and built in house and fully conforms to CE legislation.

Fabricated stress relieved solid Steel Gap Frame Press. Standard features include, Pneumatic Clutch and Brake, adjustable or fixed stroke, Stroke Counter, Mechanical Shear Plate or Hydraulic Overload device, six guide Ram with Air Balance, Dual Solenoid Valve and Shut Height Indicator.

Double Sided Mechanical Presses.

Four types of Presses from 200 to 2000 Tonnes, either single twin or four point drive. Worktable sizes vary from 700 x 800mm to the largest at 4500 - 2500mm. Working speeds from 65 to 18 Strokes per minute, and stroke lengths up to 1000mm.

Double Sided Hydraulic Presses.

Three types of Presses from 120 to 3000 Tonnes, either single or twin cylinder. Worktable sizes vary from 1100 x 1000mm to the largest at 4500 - 2500mm. Approach speeds are infinitely variable, and stroke lengths can vary from 400 up to 1600mm
